How to setup MT44 for CarX, using a UDT Game Controller dongle
The UDT Game Controller dongle is a local purchase here in the Philippines. The instructions are somewhat specific to this dongle only.

The lead car is literally new on carX but is holding his own very well. It's been a while since I played carX again. Now playing with Philippine R/C Drifters. We are all playing on R/C controllers via usb adapter module.

Using a USB adapter to use a radio controller, used for R/C Cars or boat, for PC. Just like playing r/c drift but with less power to weight ratio and rubber tires.

TLE5012 magnetic encoder replacing the omron encoder. Big FAIL!

As seen in the video, when I spin the rotor fast with my hand, it loses its position severely. However if I spin very very slowly, it somehow retails postion but not as accurate still. I am told there is a delay. Plus this is supposed to be a 15bit encoder. I am only able to take 14bit out of it in abi encoder mode on vesc which is only 16,384 resolution. Not 32,768 resolution. Very disappointe...
Assetto Corsa Drift (newbie)

Trying to stay in drift for as long as I can. Still unable to hold a drift line as I still need to refine my inputs. And yes I know, if it were a real car the engine would've blown already. haha I'm a noob at this so give me a break lol!
Testing the DIY Steering on Assetto Corsa

It is now very smooth and quiet as well. Turns out, my initial woes with this diy all went down to the quick release having slack and therefore making it feel like the car suspension bushing needs serious replacement. It rattled before and now I'm left with pure smoothness. Still on EMC software.

Using a Panasonic AC servo motor and vesc setup. Using EMC at the moment. Has definitely seen improvements but wish it had a bit more dampening to smoothen out big hits to suspension which can rattle the steering like you're need suspension bushing replacement. Lol

Hi, do you have the stl file for this mod?
Nice Tandem
Nice run 😢
Damn I wish to play with y'all but I sadly don't have money to buy this game I only have phone version😢
|I think there's also game play online compatibility with mobile. I'm sure there was 4. Playstation, Xbox, PC and I think the 4th one was mobile.
@@dencio1976 yeah but that's for mobile players only, you don't connect with pc or console
@@dencio1976 if you could send me the game file I'd be happy man

Sir ano po ginawa?
This went from a dickweed sport to a RC dickweed sport. Congratulations!
Is this a game or an app?
Hi sir naka RWD set up na ba ying tinest mo? Based sa ibang reviewss may madali icontrol if mod to RWD.
Sa test lang siya 4wd stock out of the box. After nun, mod agad to rwd yun. Matest ko lang base handling. Yes masmadali control kung rwd. As long as maayos siya nakatono.
@@dencio1976 nice sir. Sory newbie lang sa rc car. Kukuha rin kasi ako ng k969. Just taking notes sa ikagaganda pa ng handling ng unit.

@@dencio1976 Hm mo binebenta sir?
Can you maybe explain how you did that?
I honestly can't remember exactly which gear I used. I just used something I had laying around then. Was such a long time ago. I'll get back to you if I remember. The TL01 is at my old place. If I get to visit I'll open it up.
Hi Dencio, how are you, I'm glad to know that you're in the discord community, I was looking around and I saw your approvals, I found that they were talking about a topic that has me thinking and wondering for days, but I still don't get results, the The thing is with the braking resistor, I connect it to EMC STM32 and to VESC through the active servo output but I still don't get an answer, what has been working for you?
Since using the openffboard, I have replaced the FR120N braking module from the EMC configuration.Been using the diagram that came with the openffboard. No software trigger anymore. Are you Young JaredMRAZ over at discord?
@@dencio1976 Well, I'll have to assemble that, it's that I have many problems with the software activation, I can't find what to do anymore, when it's not that it doesn't activate at all, it's that it stays active all the time, I assume that if you use that it's because it works better . yes, I'm jared mraz hehe
Ain’t no way he said back wards entry it’s a reverse entry
hello, I have a hoverboard motor a Vesc 4.12, I have not made the connections yet, I would like to know if I should do any specific configuration on the Vesc since I do not have much knowledge about the software, I understand that both motors have the same principle on the connection, your opinion would be of great help to me, thank you
Ah you're in luck. I do have a hoverboard in the works and have configed in vesc which has already worked. I just simply did an automatic motor detect. You do need an encoder though. The built in hall effect sensor just doesn't have enough resolution. You can look up google as there have been many successful hb dd steering akready. Mostly optical encoders have been used via belt.
@@dencio1976 uff, thanks for your answer, but i haven't really made the connection since i don't have much knowledge on this topic, i'm using stm32 with EMC, bts7960 and etc, but i'm going to update the DD-hoverboard. So the question would be, how do I make the connection, do I connect the motor and the pwm signal? then in the Vesc software where do I go and what configuration would I do? for the second time and not the last, thank you very much.
If you purchase the emc, everything you would need is there. Schematics/connection and all. Even has the configuration/pinouts to get it done and recommended encoder. I'm confused though. Bts7960? That's a controller for brushed. Anyway, you don't need that and you have the vesc which is perfect for your hb.

@@dencio1976 Exactly, I will not use the model with the BTS anymore, it will go to the showcase as a V1.0 project; Everything is there about the connections but I get lost in one step and that is that before I tried to test an ESC and connect the signal plus the GND and I am still not putting the correct configurations in the emc utility, so that is where my stupidity arises from not knowing and be sure if connecting only the pwm signal pin of the vesc to the stm32 will work; But with your guidance on using without the hall and doing detection, everything changes, so how would I do automatic detection?
What's this for?
That's for the position sensor.
@@dencio1976 oh ok for what project lol
@@esmokebaby It's a DIY Direct Drive simulation steering wheel. You can check out the videos prior to this one.
@@dencio1976 oh yeah that's right. I remember now how much you invested in it already?
@@esmokebaby If you just compute for essentials, I'd say I'm in about 300usd. But with added cost of experimenting, it's a bit more than that. Still a good route for me as the DD is like atleast 400usd used. Plus everytime there's an update to anything, a diy dd can also be updated. Like say a new effect or higher torque/efficiency. I was hoping this encoder would be good so I could shrink down my setup.
awesomeee
Wtf r u doing
Haha sorry. First time to do shorts. Didn't allow me to make a longer description. Basically, I got a 1m stick and see what force I could get with the servo diy direct drive. All technical really but simple. From the video, got 1096grams on a meter giving me approximately 10.75Nm of torque. Which is not bad considering the size of the motor and it's a diy.
How they collect the point? Can u guys explain to me the rules
Good work dude 🔥🔥
Bka pwede mo ko tulongan mag start sa drift cars, bibilhin ko tong 969, tpos ano po need ko para mas gumanda yung sa stock?
paano😩
Need mo ng VESC 4.20, STM32F407Vet6, and a lot more. It gets really complex if starting from zero. lahat halos ng parts needed available sa shopee and lazada. Hopefully makagawa ako ng video for the basics muna then get to parts list. You also need some serious electronic troubleshooting skills, soldering skills and heck of a lot of patience. And some diy research din. Madami avail reading materials to get you started with a DIY Steering wheel. Di pa lang talaga ako makagawa ng video. Been wanting to do one for the longest time now.
Could you please share your setup Like what Controller do you use. i want to know the encoder part like Do you have to connect encoder to VESC or not something like that
I definitely gonna built one but i think i'm gonna use Hover board motor first because i already have one laying around and then when i have enough money i'm gonna buy servo at this point i'm struggling to pick motor controller like should i use VESC or Odrive also i dont know how to coding
I am using vesc. I am not sure if odrive is better suited for hb motor. If so, I wont be able to help with setting up odrive. The encoder I use is a cheap omron 2500ppr which is connected to the vesc. With emc software, this is also connected to the STM32F407Vet6. I want to do a video of setting up and parts list needed. There'll be too much question after another.
How much it cost and damn looks like it wants to rip your arms off
Lol I tried to hold on to it with good strength. But those bumps are not gonna say no. Haha The project so far costs about 14,000PhP. Or about less than 300USD. About the price of a bnew G29 locally. But without the pedals.
@@dencio1976 oh dang so not really worth doing to save money really more for the proudness you get for doing it yourself
@@esmokebaby Direct drive is still very expensive. Cheapest out there is around 500USD. So, for that DD feel, it is still cheap. Force is like more than 5x.
@@esmokebaby If you wanted something a little better than the G29, the brush motor setups would be less than 150USD to setup. Still has good ffb. Maybe even at 100USD

I don’t get it. Drifting is such a slow way to get around a track. 10% drift is optimal as it points the car into the turn and at the straight sooner allowing for earlier full throttle, but this is just like dancing; all show
Th elevator music is just perfect
